Members of the Goldwing Club of Australia (GWCA) are either; owners of Goldwings or Valkyries, their 'families and friends' and enthusiasts who would love to own a Goldwing but for the moment, they don't or they ride a bike that isn't.

Even if you don't have a Goldwing you can join as a Supporter Member. You just have to like Goldwings and want to join in the fun around them.

The rallies, the rides, the friendships and the help, are all the qualities of our club.

The Goldwing Club of Australia is fully Incorporated in Australia and dedicated to the Goldwing/Valkyrie range of motorcycle.

We are a  social club of Goldwing/Valkyrie owners and enthusiasts.

Club Activities

We don't do day rides, our members prefer to meet a few times throughout the year at Caravan Parks around Victoria, New South Wales and sometimes South Australia.  All rallies are planned to be of reasonable cost, and accommodation discounts are often offered to our club members.

Often the ride to the park is enough, after all it could be up to 1000kms each way! We are very informal, the occasional Show & Shine in a country town and perhaps a leisurely ride around the area we are staying. We all do enjoy the social side of our rallies, we can talk Wings for hours! If you're not sure about us then come along to a rally and meet us. If you enjoy our company then think about joining, (a sort of Try Before You Buy).

Generally all our rallies are organised for Long Weekends.  A typical rally would see everyone rolling up at the accommodation on the Friday night and if your in on-time we'll order pizza's.  Saturday is usually the ride day, heading off around 10:00am to take in the surrounds and stop for lunch.  Then a leisurely ride back to camp.  We all go out for dinner Saturday night.  Usually somewhere close so we can walk or catch a cab, that allows us to have a bit of a drink.

Generally no formal rides are organised for the Sunday, which allows some to go shopping and check out the town. Others might decide to go for another ride, or spend the day relaxing beside the pool as we did at Merimbula recently.  Sunday night is BBQ night, but just beforehand we have a short club meeting.  In these meetings we discuss the plans for future events as well as the formalities of running the club.

Every Rally will have a theme.  We aren't very creative in picking themes but we certainly are creative in the dress up.  To give you an example we went to Bright Vic so the theme was "bright", Maryborough Vic was mining and a trip coming up on the Queens Birthday weekend will be royalty... I dread to think what the costumes will be.

Fund Raisers

Some of our rallies have helped raise funds for charities and support groups.  ?????? more to add.

Phil & Noelle Edge.

Hi, I am Phil Edge and my wife is Noelle.
I joined the Goldwing Club back in 1995 and in that 20 years have held the position of either Secretary or President for every year but one and have been happy to serve in those capacities and contribute to the on-going activities of the Club.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our time with fellow Goldwingers and have enjoyed many laughs and good times at our rallies and get-togethers in various parts of Australia.
There is no ‘internal politics’ or grandstanding in our Club, just the pleasure of sharing good times with fellow members and enjoying one another’s company.
If this sort of comradeship appeals to you either down load our membership form and join up or, if you would prefer, come along to one of our rallies as a guest and sus us out.
